Bees are not as different from lambs as one might initially think. They feel best in a swarm, they can be calm, but, most often, "you never know with them". However, unlike sheep, we don't know how to herd them. But grandfather does! He can also tell exciting stories – about the queen bee and the drones, about the life of bees throughout the 12 months, about what is where in the hive, how far bees fly and what tasks they perform. He can operate a honey extractor and a bee smoker and determine the moisture level of honey – and he will let you try all this too!

The bee school and honey tasting take place in a shelter at the foot of the mighty Twin Oak, where you can also leisurely sip tea, swing and think about life.
